It's decadent and outrageous, so it's perfect!!!
This sinfully delicious cake is a killer combination of my beloved rich Chocolate Cake smothered with fluffy peanut butter frosting, topped with Reece's Peanut Butter Cups, crushed peanuts, then finished with a drizzle of melted chocolate and peanut butter.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake
Creative Applications
If you have leftover cake, its sturdy structure and fluffy peanut butter buttercream make it perfect for these transformations:
Peanut Butter Cake Shakes: Blend a slice of the cake with vanilla bean ice cream and a splash of milk. The mini Reese’s cups and chopped peanuts create incredible "mix-in" textures.
"Deconstructed" PB Trifle: Layer cubes of the cake with whipped cream and sliced bananas. The fruit adds a fresh, natural sweetness that lightens the rich chocolate base.
Ice Cream "Mix-Ins": Crumble the cake into softened chocolate or peanut butter ice cream. Fold it in and re-freeze for a custom "Loaded PB Cup" pint.
Decadent Cake Pops: Since the frosting is already quite rich, you can mash leftovers together to form cake balls. Dip them in melted semi-sweet chocolate for a bite-sized version of the original.
Perfect Pairings
To balance the "sinfully delicious" profile of this cake, look for beverages and sides that provide contrast.

Why it works
Beverage
Cold Milk or Unsweetened Cold Brew
The classic "milk and cookies" effect; the bitterness of coffee cuts the sugar.
Fruit
Fresh Raspberries or Strawberries
Tart berries provide a sharp, acidic contrast to the heavy buttercream.
Texture
Sea Salt Flakes
Sprinkling a tiny bit of flaky salt over the chocolate drizzle makes the peanut butter flavor pop.
Spirit
Bourbon or Stout Beer
The caramel notes in bourbon or the roasted malt in a stout mirror the cocoa and vanilla.
